All the leaves are brown
and the sky is gray
I went for a sail
on a winter’s day…
Sometimes words are not needed.

How true!
“Sometimes words are not needed”… and… there are some things that are just… beyond words.
Peace to you on this winter’s day and always.

My very first sail was on San Francisco Bay. Wish I remembered more about it–it was in 1971 or 72 so it’s been a couple years.

!OMG! Zen, have you gone to the “Dark Side”?!
That’s no Islander 29 that’s for sure. Now I know for a fact that the sail to Hawaii from S.F. is mostly off the wind but from Hawaii to Japan is suposedly close hauled pretty much the whole trip and that’s no good if you’re driving that “Shat-A-Maran”…

Hahahahahahahah! Great! James my man, it’s just a friend’s Cat! He/They want to at some point take it to Okinawa. I was just helping him out for a day sail. I’m still a Monohull dude. Peace, fair winds and Happy New Year, to you and Dena.
Thanks for dropping by.

Those are some beautiful shots. Some of which I’ve never seen before, like the coast line of the city.
Even tho it’s winter, it’s great to get out and smell the air. Reminds me not to hibernate.
