Ahoy, Yes I’m still here. The last couple of weeks have been an adventure. I have had a leg/hip injury which I finally went to see an acupuncturist who made a major difference. I had been limping about like Capt Hook or Peg Leg Pete for the last 1.5 weeks. It was hell! Not much boat stuff, I had planned on going going sailing this past Sunday since I cancelled my trip to LA. however I put that on hold and opted to rest my injury and just do some house stuff. It worked out well.
I did go to the Vallejo Yacht Club flea market on Sat. It was the best marina one I’ve been to. They had lots of stuff not all marine, but what was there was good stuff. I was on very limited funds, but went anyway. Limping and all, since it was before my Acupuncturist appointment. I ending up spending 45.00 bucks. I though I got a few good bargains. I got another foot water pump to add in the galley, a couple of SS cleats, and a big Arse manual Bilge Pump. I already have one, it is smaller, however at $5.00 It would be good to have two. I saw another foot waterpump, whihc would have completed what I needed, but the guy wanted 40.00 bucks. So since I had reach my $50.00 spending limited I passed after making a few more rounds to check in case I missed something important. There wasa Bruce anchor I would have like to have gotten but again, there was that money thing…
I took my new stash of goodies to s/v Zen and went off to my successful appointment. I can now walk again without a limp!! yeahhhh!
There is another Flea market at the Encinel Yacht Club in Alameda in two weeks. Our money should be a little more balanced out then. I plan on going for a quick shop. I have class to teach that morning on the other side of the Estuary in Oakland, it is nice the flea market opens at 8:00 am I can slip in and out. hehehah get it Slip in and out…
