Revenge!!

Wahoo a Holiday
Happy Dance

To sail or not to sail that was the question that was in mind since Sunday night and early Monday morning. It was memorial day and I had thought of spending most of the day under-sail. Lady Z had said the night before ” Anta wa sugoi isogashe, kiosite ne!”

Which means you are very busy do not over do it and get sick. I said “die jou bu asta wa yahto suru ” which was suppose to mean; no problem I am just going sailing tomorrow.

However…I have been goin ggoing going like the energizer bunny. I ended up taking a long nap on Sun, but was still on the sleepy side on Monday morning. Anyway I had to do some computer stuff early on a couple of website I’m handling and deal with Virgin mobile. Then I wanted to go exchange some things at W.M. , plus stop at Pep boys for a spark plug for my motorcycle & Frys for a printer/fax machine. After sailing it was over to Oakland to pickup the paperwork for my Sailing class I’m teaching this coming weekend from there, diner , then to Kyudo class, since I was not teaching Kung Fu because of the holiday…

To sail or not to sail that is the question…

The phone stuff took longer than I planned, then I got sidetracked with a Kung Fu video from Canada from a sister school up there. tick tock, time is moving on.

To sail or not to sail.

I had just been out this past Weds night and will be going again this coming Weds as well as been on the water this whole weekend coming…

to sail or not to sail… today…

I’m off to the marina, I postpone the stops until afterwards…

It is on the windy side at the marina, not a day for an easy sail but, one that will give a bit of a rush, but will take some work, lots of chop.

To sail or not to sail, is still the thought…

I get to the boat and put my gear aboard. I figure I’ll go down and give Kuan Yin a quick check in this wind, make sure my first boat is ok. I do not know if her owner has had time to come down.

I find she has not. I adjust the fenders and redo the dock lines.

To sail or not to sail….

I’m still thinking, but leaning toward no sail. I would really like an easy sail condition or manageable but this one would take some effort. I’ve been in a state of Yang for a while with more things to do…

I head back to s/v Zen and find that the deck and the mainsail cover is loaded with bird bombs!!!

Revenge!!!

Sticky Bird Crap Batman! Revenge!

This is what I’m thinking! this must be revenge of the birds. Crap! There is no easy resting/sitting stop where all the dropping are, it is like they fly over and just dropped bombed the deck. Revenge…

The last time I was down, there was the beginnings of a nest in my Mainsail cover, I destroyed it when I uncovered the main to sail and closed the cover up better so no birds can get in there, they love to make nest up in there.

wrapped

After I came back from my sail there were a couple of birds landing on the boat, and flying around after I docked, they seemed pissed off. The nest was gone and I was there. So I’m thinking all the bombs are their revenge. They got with some of their friends and bomb the heck out of my boat for payback!! it can be the only answer!! Think about, The birds, remember that movie, yeah thats right, they do think and plan. It was revenge!!

Ok, so I wash down the boat, and went below check the bilge (dry) and put things away from my last visit and work day.

tick tock tick tock…

I had re-re-re found my hammock while getting stuff out of my storage for the motorcycle. So I brought it down to the boat. I figured I’ll see where it can be hung. I found the perfect spot that it will work. After it was hung and I gave it a try just to make sure..around this time I tune into the Tao for the answer to the question…

no Sail today. I need to move into the Yin zone for awhile. Balance is key to good health and life quality. If I am out of balance, my sail will suffer. More so under challeging conditions that require me to be mindful and fully in the moment. I will be unable to maintain good feng shui if I am myself unbalance. It is in keeping with the Tao to flow to Yin when Yang has become full… :-)

I spend the next 1hr testing the hammock…it worked well heheheh

zen yin

Later…after this VERY loud powerboat disrupts the peace of the dock,

I figure it is time to switch back to Yang I need to get errands done. So after a refreshing yin period I gather myself and stuff and head back in to the world.

While walking back to the car I notice there is a news truck and the guy is raising the antenna. I look around by see nothing unusual.

whale

I figure he is doing just a Memorial day at the park report. I find out later the Lost Whale and cub were spotted near the Marina. They have been on the news a lot of late, having traveled up the Sac river and hung out there for awhile even after efforts of sending them back to sea. Now they were moving back down river, towards the Pacific but decided to check the local scene in Martinez.
